Lewes Racecourse | A Legacy Lost?

Lewes Racecourse | A Legacy Lost?  is a new book by author, Cheryl R Lutring, and will join her stable of horse related books that have general appeal.  To be launched in the spring of 2013 this book heralds the 50th anniversary of the closure of the Racecourse - a regrettable event which occurred in September 1964.  To date it is the only book dedicated solely to the remarkable story of Lewes Racecourse, the legendary horses who have run there, the quirky characters who have lived and worked in the racing scene there, and the place of racing in the community in general.  Peppered with anecdotes and insights, as well as historical facts of a broader nature for context, this book covers the period from the early 1700s right up to the present day.  It encapsulates the story of Lewes Racecourse for the record.
It will be available in all good book stores, from Amazon and directly from this blog via PayPal.  Copies purchased from the blog will be signed by the author.
